Welcome!

Hello!
My name is Lesley Gee and I am a Dance Scholar for the Brigham Young University, Arts Bridge Partnership. I am 21 years old and I am from Murray, Utah. After graduating from Murray High School in 2016, I moved to Ephraim, Utah to attend Snow College. While attending Snow College, I met my husband and we got married in August 2017. After graduating from Snow College with an Associate of Arts in April 2018, me and my husband moved to Provo to attend Brigham Young University. I am currently a senior in my program, Dance Education, and will be graduating in April 2021.

As an Arts Bridge Scholar, I am paired up with an elementary school teacher, and together we integrate dance into a classroom setting. For this internship, I have been assigned to teach at Bonneville Elementary School in Orem, Utah. I will be working with Thomas Bawden and his fifth grade class. Throughout this semester, I will be planning and teaching lessons that use dance to explore fifth grade language arts, science, and math concepts.

For this blog, I will be creating posts to share my experiences about the lessons I create and my visits at Bonneville Elementary School. I am so excited to get started and grow as a teacher through my journey as an Arts Bridge Scholar!
